WHY RENEWABLE ENERGY MATTERS

The Transition Is Growing. It Cannot Slow Down.

Clean energy is no longer a distant idea. It is becoming a central part of the world's power system. At the same time, record heat and rising energy demand show why progress must continue for a stable climate, healthier communities, and a livable future.

692 GW

Added in one year

New renewable power capacity installed worldwide in 2025.

85.6%

Most new power was renewable

Renewables supplied the vast majority of global capacity expansion in 2025.

5,149 GW

Now powering the world

Total global renewable power capacity reached a new record by the end of 2025.

11 years

A clear climate signal

2015 through 2025 were the eleven warmest years ever recorded.

Three Ways to Discover Energy

Choose a workshop below to see what students explore and try the interactive concept activity.

WORKSHOP 01

Power From Pressure

Piezoelectricity

Students learn why clean energy is important, then explore how certain materials generate electricity when pressed, bent, or vibrated. An interactive activity shows firsthand how force can become electricity.

HANDS-ON ACTIVITYExplore how physical force can become electrical energy.

LEARNING IN ACTION

More Than a Science Demonstration

Students do more than watch. They test ideas, compare results, ask questions, and build the confidence to think like young engineers.

At a workshop, the room gets busy in the best way. Students gather around the setup, debate what might happen, test it, and try again when the result surprises them.

The goal is not to memorize a definition. It is to leave knowing that science is something they can question, touch, and build with.

Observe. Test. Adjust. Try again.
